"A lunar halo (also known as a 22-degree halo) is a hazy ring that occurs at a radius of approximately 22 degrees around the moon. It is the result of the moon's light being refracted by ice crystals in Cirrus clouds in the upper troposphere at an altitude of approximately 6000 meters (20 000 feet)." Oleh Puzan Red Fog mystifies the listener by digging into their subconscious. Currents of electricity lap the corrugated flesh of the brain in Submersion In Collodion. Cryptic chirps echo a rewiring of the cerebrum, scratching sensitive bone inside the skull throughout Prosthetic Implants In The Frozen River. Maybe all is over, but the synthetic liquids at the end of Lotus Droplets leaves the listener baffled. Left to wallow in the dark, one cannot help but wonder if they ever woke up. Favorite track: Prosthetic Implants In The Frozen River.

❤️My original plan was to go through and buy individual tracks like I do with most compilation albums, but honestly there are just so many good ones that I wound up buying the whole thing. More than simple drones (though there are plenty of those, too), this album collects many of the best and most innovative dark ambient artists in one place, including many who are new to me.
